VIII Province Chapter - North East Province

Rev. Fr Aloysius Noronha OFM Cap spiritually animated the Sisters to reflect on the words of Jesus; “Put out into the deep water, and let down your nets for a catch” (Lk 5:4). Very Rev. Sr Susheela Sequeira, the Superior General in her vibrant opening message challenged the Sisters  to contemplate on the present scenario of the nation and relationship with God, self, others and cosmos with compassion.

In the election held on 7th January Sr. Mary C.J. was re-elected as Provincial Superior, Sr. Bernadette Fernandes, Sr. Juliana Pereira, Sr. Mary Dukru and Sr. Dominica Lopez were elected as the  Provincial Councillors.


 The main thrusts of the VIII Province Chapter are:

1.      To deepen our relationship with God, self, others and cosmos

2.      To uphold the image of God in every member of our community by joyful living

3.      To work creatively and strengthen the faith of the people of different age groups

4    To focus our attention towards the poor, slow learners, girl child,  women, children, youth, trafficked, domestic workers, prisoners and the marginalized of the society

5.     To put in more efforts to recruit vocations and strive to form our Formees by enthusing in them the love of God and mission

6.      To upgrade the Sisters with needed regular professional and academic studies for the effective apostolates

7.      To strengthen Social Development and Health Apostolate.)
